General Meeting
Thursday
August 7, our guest speaker for the evening was Mike Lubrano from the
Mastic Peninsula Society. He gave a pleasing presentation about the
local historic sites. There was a mix of old and new information
which kept everyone interested.
After
our usual business the following nominations and proposals were
presented.
The
Nominating Committee headed by Vic Viola made the third reading for
their selections of officer and directors for the next elections.
The 2014 nominations put forward by the Nominating Committee are as
follows:

Kobasiuk
Vice President:
Michael Kobasiuk

Sergeant At Arms:
Richard Wilkinson
Board
of Directors
Ed
Janeesn, Ketty Colbert, Peter Costelloe, Jean SanMartin, Maureen
Getchell, Chris Zarcone, and Michelle Wilkinson
with three spots remaining
unaccounted
for.
Since
there were no contests for any of the officer or director positions,
one vote was cast for each of the nominations by the Recording
Secretary thus electing the slate for the next two years.
Michelle
Wilkinson read Maureen Getchell's suggested by-laws changes for the
third time as follows:

current Board of Directors consists of 12 members, not 20. As the
Board of Directors retire no other shall be appointed until we reach
