President’s Message
Hello all,
I hope you and your families are doing well. As we move into May, I would like to thank our members that came out and helped with repairs at the Marina.
The pole covers were removed under the direction of Jim Searfoss, Mike Wettig and myself.  The shed was leveled, a new door was built and outer covering was installed, thanks to the help of MBPOA volunteers, led by Joe Kelly.  Joe, also, rebuilt the steps near the ramp.
Planking on the boardwalk was done by several MBPOA volunteers, and water lines were found to be in tack. We continue to work replacing boards, replace leaky water spigots and repair electrical outlets, as needed.
Our thanks to MBPOA Director Chris Zarcone for his continuous work repairing and replacing electrical outlets and overhead fixtures.
We also purchased a new trailer and had custom sides installed by Kevin Collins; and that’s not all, by the beginning of May we intend to have the fence installed on the southeast side of the marina. We hope it to be esthetically pleasing while supplying on street parking for future businesses as well as some privacy to our members that wish to use our picnic area.
Security guards will be hired, trained and ready to begin May 13th at 7 AM.
After many years, we just had the Clubhouse floors refinished, and the rugs in the foyer and stage were replaced.
Future plans for the clubhouse we will be fencing the perimeter of the property, and hopefully, a deck for members to enjoy.  If anyone is interested in helping with any of these projects please contact me at my e-mail below, or keep an eye out for my e-mail blasts.
As always, if you’re a member, this is your club, please feel free to come down on a Friday night and meet some of your fellow members, and feel free to bring a friend.  You can just relax and have a drink, talk, play cards, darts, or bring your own entertainment.
Thank you all,
Frank

The program discusses techniques to better handle the complex emotions of anger, guilt, fear and anxiety.   Program participates learn coping skills for addressing stress and gain a better understanding of their role as caregiver.
Family Service League Caregiver Support Program is available to anyone who is caring for a friend, spouse, or relative over 60 years old.
Please join for this very informative meeting as this subject may someday be very helpful to each and every one of us.

Neighborhood Cleanup
                May 6th 9 AM

Please join us in cleaning up the roadside debris that has accumulated from the MBPOA sign on William Floyd Highway to the cannon on at the triangle on Neighborhood Road.

The gathering spot will be at the curve on Havenwood and Neighborhood Roads where vests, gloves, bags and hand grabbers will be distributed to those helping.

The more hands we get the sooner we can finish.  We anticipate it should take no more than an hour.  So please join us in making a cleaner presentation to those entering our Community.

      MBPOA Activity Committee
Our Activity Committee is looking for volunteers and ideas on events you would like to see at the Clubhouse and/or possibly a day trip.
We had good response with the past two casino trips, one to Mohegan Sun in CT. and the other to Sands Casino in PA., and hope to make this a yearly event.
All suggestions and ideas are welcome.
